Dear Colleagues, I would like to inform you about possibility to do your research on morphometrics and be granted by the EU. There is a program called Synthesys (http://www.synthesys.info/access.html) supporting access to 19 European natural history museums and botanic gardens. In our institute in Warsaw (PL TAF--http://www.synthesys.info/pltaf.htm) there is a Relflex microscope, Kontron scanning camera as well as required geometric morphometrics software at your disposal. In addition, in two month-period there will be a high-quality newest 3D laser scanner (VI-9i) from Minolta (http://www.minolta-3d.com/) installed here (accuracy is really great). Do not miss the chance. Call for proposals is now open. The next deadline is March 18, 2005.
Eligible countries to apply for a grant: Austria, Belgium, Denmark (including Greenland), Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France (including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyane, La RÃunion), Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland (excluded while applying for PL TAF), Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom plus the Associated Countries of the EU: Switzerland, Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein, Norway and Candidate Countries of the EU Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.
