Postdoctoral Marie Curie Fellowship (EVAN Training Network) - REF: DR0653
A joint appointment of Hull York Medical School and the Department of
Computer Science, University of Hull
Applications are invited for the above post to work on the development
of innovative visualization-based software tools in the field of
geometric morphometrics. This post is part of a Marie Curie Research
Training Network in Virtual Anthropology (EVAN) commencing 2006. You
will work in the functional morphology and evolution unit based in HYMS
facilities at York and Hull and in the Computer Science Department at
the University of Hull (Simulation and Visualization group).
The EVAN RTN is aimed at advancing the geometric morphometric toolkit
for the visualization and morphometric analysis of biological form and
applying it in a series of interwoven studies. You will work closely
with other partner institutions in ensuring that tools are designed and
built for purpose and will carry much of the responsibility for
programming these.
In order to comply with Marie Curie programme rules, the appointee can
not be a UK national or have resided or carried out their main activity
in UK for more than 12 months in the three years immediately prior to

Salary in the range £27,929 to £36,959 per annum. This post is
available from 1 April 2006 for a period of two years.
