Hallo Anneke,
I'm not really a morphometrics expert, either, but I have been working
with MorphoJ, recently... I'm using the newest version on Windows 7,
and my suggestion for solving the problem would be:
Group your specimens into subsets by introducing a classifier variable.
Then you choose in Preliminaries -> subdivide dataset by (classifier),
and you get separate data sets in you project tree. You can perform
individual partial least squares analyses on those, treating them just
like the entire dataset.
Hope it works!
Best wishes,
Ruth
ps - Do you run your PLS analysis on two sets of shape variables, or on
shape variables and a set of covariates? I think the procedure there is
slightly different....

Dear Viviana
Thank you very much for your reply. I have now tried doing a new
procrustes fit on my subset, but unfortunately the problem remains.
Thanks!
Best wishes,
Anneke

Dear Anneke,
Although I have not used that MorphoJ function, I've had that problem
before using other ones, and the solution was running again the
Procrustes fit for the subsets.
Hope this helps,
Viviana

Dear Colleagues
I would really appreciate your help with the following problem in
MorphoJ. When I run Partial Least Squares on my complete dataset
everything works fine. However, when I try to do the same on a
subset of
my data (created by ‘include/exclude observations’ and ‘create
a new
dataset’) MorphoJ seems to get stuck. The dialogue box remains
open, an
icon does appear in the project tree, but nothing appears
under the
results, graphics or reports tabs. I have the same problem using
MorphoJ
1.02f and 1.02g, as well as in both Windows XP and Windows 7. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
Best wishes,
