Dear colleagues, I collected separate landmark data on dorsal and ventral views of seals' skulls. I managed to modify the batch files that are used by Morpheus to merge two separate sets of landmarks for the skulls I am measuring into a unique merged view. The batch files run fine, except there is an error at the end of the routine:
..Batch Line 116 Command: OPEN Seal_lks_repeat_1_merged.mdt ERROR: Problem reading point coordinate around line 6 in C:\Users\Yoland\Desktop\morpheus_et_al_20140704\data\batch seals\Seal_lks_repeat_1_merged.mdt. Actually, the output file that contains the merged view has commas as decimals for the coordinates instead of dots. By replacing these commas by dots, Morpheus is able to open the file and the merged view can be vizualised. I ran Morpheus on Windows 7 and Linux. Both versions produce the same type of file with commas as decimals for the coordinates. The same error also happens with the working example with the crocodilian cranium provided with Morpheus. Furthermore,I would like to sequentially run the merging script to reconstruct many specimens one after the other. I understand that the command lines for the first batch file are like this: define $fn$ allmis_A_AMNH9047 batch 02_batch_merge.btc define $fn$ allmis_A_AMNH9127 batch 02_batch_merge.btc However, given that there is this error at the end of the run for the first specimen it seems that the routine stops after that and does not process the next specimen. Moreover, when I collected my data I did not take the first 3 landmarks for each view in the same sequence. So, I had to relabel some of them so that the configurations are compatible with the batch processing of Morpheus. Would it be possible to specify pairing of landmarks for both views regardless whether or not they were collected in the same order? FileConverter by Chris Kilngenberg allows this type of specification and also allows the definition of more than 3 landmarks to reconstruct a unified view.
