Hi Everyone,

The following is a fundamental question about interpreting the output from
tpsRelw. Using Heidi Schutz' and Jonathan Krieger's "Guide to geometric
morphometrics" document. The document suggests saving the 'weight matrix',
'centroid size' (self explanatory) and 'relative warp scores' in separate
files. What is not clear to me is what the weight matrix and relative warp
scores files contain. Is it the partial warp score and PCA analyses
respectively? I have the understanding that the relative warp scores are a
synonym for the PCA analyses that tpsRelw carries out automatically (the
difference being that they are PC scores weighted by the bending energy
corresponding to each partial warp).

Am I interpreting this correctly and what would be the next logical steps in
analyzing the data in these files? I am primarily looking to examine
differences in body shape between two populations and also ontogenetic
(age-specific) body shape variation within populations.

Any help or directions to additional explanations would be appreciated.
