The district purchased kits for teachers in grades 3-6. I was asked
to "assign" trade books to certain grade levels. I rather arbitrarily
determined which grade levels would use the materials that come with
the comprehension toolkit. I looked at how the articles/tradebooks
integrated with each grade level's content in ss and science.
I am asking the teachers to send me text that they find effective in
teaching the strategies. I'll keep it posted for all buildings to share.
