I tend to look at the bigger picture and think of the positive
structures we set up to facilitate learning:

-a collaborative culture among the staff, it truly takes a community...
-schedules set up to allow large blocks of time for literacy...
-a principal and teachers that are able to share their passion for
literacy with peers and with students
-time blocks set aside for weekly team meetings around student learning
-monthly meetings to discuss specific literacy progress for students
-entire teams of adults that are dedicated to being lifelong learners
themselves
-trust
-money for meaningful materials-children can tell the difference
-flexibility
-the knowledge that all children want to succeed
