Hope this helps.
Schedules for Self -Selected-Reading
1st---I conference with 4 kids daily. This chart is posted
2nd ---the kids do a quick pair share (not my invention) I made a
Monday-Friday chart and I paired the kids up so that they meet with a new
partner daily. 1min per child
3rd--- two children give a book talk and they choose two children to ask a
question--- again a chart is posted with who shares on what day-it takes 2
weeks to go through the class-that's one reason why I do quick pair
shares-the kids are chomping at the bit to share so the quick pair share
helps.
