Hi Kerry, I have my kids save everything they create, all year long in one of 2 files. I divide the files into Language Arts/Science, and Math/Social Studies. At the end of the year, one of the important activities my kids do is thoughtfully go through each folder, choose one piece in each academic area to send to next year's teacher, and attach a paragraph to each as to why they chose that piece. Hope I've helped. It's a great way for the kids to reflect on how far they've come since Sept. Myra 4th grade
