I really like the Wordly Wise books. They let kids work with the words in 6 different ways (I guess it is recommended that a student experience a new vocabluary word at least 6 times to make it stick) and the students really increase their vocabularies. You can go to www.epsbooks.com to see the Wordly Wise series. I heard that they are coming out with an updated edition. It is worth looking into.

I just bought it as I was told she (Isabel Beck) had helped with the Scott Foresman Vocabulary instruction. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephanie Sanchez" To: "Mosaic: A Reading Comprehension Strategies Listserv" Sent: Tuesday, April 10, 2007 2:42 AM Subject: Re: [MOSAIC] vocabulary lists? > My favorite is Bringing Words to Life: Robust Vocabulary Instruction > by Isabel L.
