I work in a district with nine schools and I have to say, this will not work
for us. Our children, spread across the reservation, have very different
experience levels and very different needs. While I like the idea of a
general map, I dislike this notion of same page. My husband and I can read
a novel at the same time and even as proficient adults, we are not on the
same page and we question and engage in different ways. I knew more than a
publisher about the needs of my children, and while I respect the need for
more guidance for inexperienced teachers, the reality for most districts is
that the purchase dictates.
