Hello All,
First, I would like to thank all of you! I have learned so much by reading
your postings over the last few months. I have not participated much, as I
feel like I have so much to learn first. However, I have some questions and
I figured this was the perfect place to go!
My first question: Is anyone familiar with the Tucker signing program to
teach decoding? What do you think?
My second question: I have a bunch of second graders who really struggle
with decoding and automaticity. Does anyone have any suggestions of good
programs/resources to look into for them (something I could do out of my own
pocket)?
Last question:There is a program for higher level kids who struggle with
decoding that one listserv member uses.I cannot remember the name of the
program. It teaches how to determine which syllable to place emphasis on.
What is that called? How young can children begin with that?
Thank you for taking the time to read and share! What a wonderful learning
community this is!! :)
Carolyn
