I'm not sure how much word sorts are used, but the philosophy is there (sort of, since the spelling focus is aimed toward the "middle"). I don't use any of our Houghton Mifflin stuff. Ick. In any case, Shane Templeton (I think) is the one who wrote the spelling component for HM, and he is one of the 4 authors of WTW. I believe we adopted HM 3 years ago. As you can tell, I don't pay much attention to it!!
