Heather,

I haven't used this type of technology in my classroom, but if you check out
this link you can find a teacher who has. I'm not sure if she used it for ELA,
but I'm sure you could email her and find out.

I'm a graduate student in the Literacy 5-12 program at Syracuse University.
Currently, I'm working on a project about how palm pilots and other handheld
computers can be used in a classroom setting. I've found a fair bit of
information about people using these devices for their organizational
qualities, and in computer-based labs in science classrooms. Yet, I have found
very little about how they can be used in an ELA classroom or to build literacy
skills. Is there anyone out there who is using palms in their classroom or who
has any brilliant ideas on how they would use palms if they had them? Thanks!

Heather
