National Geographic does have a good program I use them in 3rd grade and I
think the lower grades in my district use them also. I also use the Nat.
Geographic magazines that come in monthly. They are similar to Weekly reader
and they have different levels. The kids find the articles very interesting.
Great pictures and they use many of the features we study in our Toolkit
program.

I would strongly recommend Red Brick, which has become an imprint of
National Geographic, I believe. The books have nonfiction features such as
glossary, table of contents, bold faced print, index, some labels.

I also just purchases a number of titles from Mondo Published and they are
just beautiful. We were also looking for nonfiction.
