Shannon, This book has really helped with how my kids comprehend math. We use EDM, and I love to use the KWC. This was my first year teaching all four subjects. Normally at 5th grade in our school district the students have 2 core teachers divided into Math/Science and LA/SS. It has been awesome to see that most of my day isn't segmented, but meshed through the process of thinking for meaning." I have not tackled all of Ellin's new book, but looking foward to applying it for next year.
