Lynnelle-
I have been reading Comprehending Math by Arthur Hyde and it is  
fabulous!  It takes all the wonderful reading comprehension  
strategies and and applies them to how we need to help kids  
comprehend math.  As elementary teachers we need to get as much  
mileage as we can from every subject and not segment our day into  
subjects.  Otherwise, how will our students see what we are doing as  
valuable to their lifelong learning.
