Hi Kay,
I'm the one that mentioned the "Let's Go Learn" program. My school is
playing around with it this summer by having a few students take the assessment

and then work the program. My son is one of the struggling readers that is
involved. So far, I like what I see. We have a 30 day trial subscription but
I'll be honest with you, I haven't gotten into the meat and potatoes of it
yet. But...it does have a lot of components that can be tapped. It contains
DORA, which is the reading portion and DOMA which is the math. The math is
broken down into both basic math and pre-algebra. The student profile that it
gives on each student is amazing. It's very detailed and lists both
weaknesses and ideas for both teachers and parents. The report itself is very
teacher
and parent friendly. There are activities that work on comprehension, work
recognition, fluency etc. I just haven't figured out everything yet. I'm
kind of on my own. Now...does it work? Well, my son has been working online
for 5 days. I'll have to get back to you on that. He HATES reading but
hasn't fought me too much with the online activities yet. I will definitely
post
later and let you know how things are going.
Michele
