Hi,
There is a great somewhat series of books that springboards into the
next book:
Can I have a Stegosaurus, Mom Please?
Can I have a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dad? Can I? Please?
(I believe Pterodactyl is next)
Author: Lois G. Grambling
In first grade we set the students up with a picture graphic organizer
and a "skeleton"
Can I have a __________________________ please? If I had a
______________ then____________________________. If I had a
______________ then____________________________. If I had a
______________ then____________________________. If I had a
______________ then____________________________. Can I have a
__________________________ please?

Hope this helps.

Subject: [MOSAIC] Book suggestion for writing a persuasive piece

Only 7 days left of school! I would like to model with my students
(first
graders) how to write a persuasive piece. Does anyone have a suggestion
of
a picture book I could read to them?

Thanks,
Felicia
