Kendra, You can do a great deal with comprehension strategies through read alouds. Of course, you wouldn't know that if you were in the Kindergarten classroom I was in last year, where the teacher didn't even know what a comprehension strategy was. But you are smarter and just from the questions you ask and the readings you've done I think you are going to like Kindergarten and do a great service there as well. :-)
