Engaging 5th and 6th grade ELL boys requires meeting them where they are at!

Use non - fiction areas of interest and have them produce their
comprehension in different ways such as drawing their visualizations,
interactive
notetaking, constructing things - be creative!

GRAPHIC NOVELS are the best and they will love them!

Just a few tips from an ESL teacher who teaches grade 5 and 6 ELL's.
