I think I might start with someone very accessible and non-threatening. Of course, I adore Lucy Calkins and know you could never go wrong with her, but I think I'd recommend Teaching Essentials by Regie Routman as my "maiden voyage." It will really cause people to think, discuss, and maybe start to come together as a community with shared values. Interesting questions. Or maybe it would be good to start with something so practical and immediate that they'd get drawn into improving practice right away--something like Craft Lessons (Fletcher and Portalupi) or Comprehension Connections (mcGregor). Mosaic would be a wonderful blend of the two. Keep us informed of how it's going!! Bev
