My own sense, having read the series, is that the first book is pretty bubble gum, but there is a subtle shift towards sexuality in the following books. Is anyone experiencing any backlash or resistance from parents/parental groups? My very conservative sister was somewhat concerned when her son wanted to read them and I understand that her objections deal with the supernatural. I told her, as long as you can get past the whole damned for eternity issue, how about a team romance where the guy is holding out for marriage?
