SMART goals also need to be measureable.

So far we have: All students will be proficient in reading and writing. The goal needs to be specific, manageable, attainable, realistic and timely. We all know it's not realistic because our school is not set up to keep students until they reach this goal. It's not going to happen in the two years they enter in seventh grade and leave to go to ninth grade two years later. The goal needs to meet the needs of all students, including special needs students and those students who have chosen to do nothing to help themselves reach the goal. -- Ann [email protected] _______________________________________________ Mosaic mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/mosaic_literacyworkshop.org.
