I am in the process of reading The Daily Five. As a literacy coach in
Minneapolis our district literacy team has referenced the book and
process repeatedly. I am now trying learn more about it and how it will
support our district's implementation of Readers and Writers Workshop.

Taken from the Daily 5 web site... "Real life ‘sisters’ Gail Boushey and
Joan Moser are known by the teachers they’ve worked with in Washington
state and throughout the country as researched, strategic, and fun.
Their reflective practice and combined experience of +40 years has led
to the development of The Daily 5, a structure for fostering literacy
independence in the elementary grades. They are nationally known
consultants who passionately share their expertise creating beautiful
spaces for learning in classrooms, assessment-driven instruction and
meaningful literacy."

To learn more you can go to http://www.the2sisters.com/the_daily_5.htm

I am very intrigued by their work, their book, how "real" and well it is
written. I look forward to learning more and hearing what others on
Mosaic have to day about it too.
