Hi everyone, I want to thank those of you who have contacted me with feedback about the Scott Foresman core reading program. I have got some great feedback from a few people, but would love to get more. We will soon be piloting new programs in my district, and in addition to looking for a great program that supports differentiated instruction and RTI ideas, we are particularly interested in what the phonics component looks like. We are wondering if most programs are going to require a supplement for the phonics piece, or if there are programs out there with an outstanding scope and sequence for explicit phonics instruction. If anyone else out there is working with a relatively new core program, Scott Foresman or otherwise, and has some insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the program you are using, I would really appreciate it.
