I was able to prove the educational value of this site to our school
administration. We were currently reading a story about Lance Armstrong and
the Tour de France. Knowing that many of my children would never get a chance
to see this amazing race, I found a 12 min. clip of various stages of this
race. It depicted the French countryside and was set to classical music. I
showed this clip to my administrators, and they directed the school's tech guy
to let this site through. I use it whenever I can to build background. We
also read a story this year about Bill Bo Jangles. I was able to find a clip
of he and Shirley Temple dancing down a set of stairs. My children were amazed
at the black and white footage wanting to know why it wasn't in color. Please
make sure that you preview all clips that you plan to show to your children
beforehand.

                                                                Jeanne
