Lisa....Amiee Buckner has 2 great books about using reading "notebook" or
journals. Notebook Know How is her first book and the name of her 2nd book
Notebook Connections. I have the first book and have read it cover to cover and
have the second book ordered from Stenhouse Publishing.

You can preview portions of her 1st book on-line but can browse the 2nd book
entirely on-line. I teach third grade and have found so much of the information
to be valuable.

Karen Haag along with several other writer's have published a book titled,
Thinking Out Loud also has good ideas for reading journals. She refers to them
as Daybooks but the same premise. Her book is published by Heinemann.

Hope this helps.
