I'm seeing why this post might be causing some confusion...at least in me. Yes, there are things to be said for long-term writing partners, whether 9 weeks or a semester or longer. But what the original poster mentioned was Turn and Talk which is a far different instructional piece. We're talking about two separate issues here.
