Cathy, are these common assessments for the six strategies to determine how students are progressing in the use of the strategies? If so, I would be very interested in seeing in one of the assessments or at least a sample if at all possible. Could you email this at address below or post on mosiac site. I am in Georgia. We give an overall "pretest" in August, a second assessment at the end of the first nine weeks (late September early October), a third assessment in December, then the pretest, exactly the same, in March. Our Georgia CRCT is given in April. This is my first year giving these so I really don't have an opinion yet. Our scores are gathered on Performance Matters. I am of the personal opinion that we do way too much testing. I do use the data to guide my small group instruction, and I try very hard to feel positive, but I have been teaching way too long to feel that the number of days testing should be what we are presently doing. > Cathy > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Wernex, Kelly <[email protected]> > To: mosaic <[email protected]> > Sent: Mon, Nov 22, 2010 8:45 am > Subject: [MOSAIC] Common Assessments > > > As a district, we are asked to have grade level common assessments for each > comprehension strategy.
