I am looking for information on academic transition classrooms for elementary
students. Are there any schools that have something like this in place? For
example, having mixed abilities (on-level & IEP's) grouped in 7 classrooms and
1 classroom made up of students who are on the verge of proficiency or need
that boost? That way reading can be taught all day long with more help in that
one particular classroom? Or is there findings where this is not a good idea?
(Now, this is not ability grouping in the same sense of all high students here
and all low students in another room, and all on level in another room, etc.)

Thanks!
