Our district has begun using the Pearson materials. What I really like about
the program is that it integrates reading, writing, and word study in a
consistent manner. There is more material than you could ever teach in a school
year and is great for beginning teachers. Not so great for those of us who got
a master's degree in literacy. But I do like the fact that everyone in the
district is now teaching word study and the same topics in writing. There are
always pluses and minuses to every program it seems.
