Hi all! I was wondering if anyone has had experience with both Quick Reads and
Read Naturally. I'd like to know what you think about the pros and cons
comparing both programs. Our 3-5 building has a lot of money tied up in one
program and our new principal wants to implement the other next year. How do
they compare in your experience with them? Also does anyone know of any
specific research comparing fluency programs. I know teaching anything in
isolation isn't the ideal in Reading Workshop, but we have seen pretty
consistent results in the past with 3 x 20. Thanks in advance for any insight
you have! norma
An old man once said, "There comes a time in your life, when you walk away
from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people
who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who
treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything
but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
