I agree that Scholastic is a great resource both for getting books for
children themselves and getting points to get books for the classroom.
However, many of the books on that list are NOT available from
Scholastic. I say this because our class just did a book order, and I
used my points to get some books from the list. I think a list like
this is helpful to have when parents or administrators are asking
about books to buy because the books  are quality children's
literature that reflect diverse cultures and points of view - but less
likely to be available from Scholastic.
