Well, here is the hard answer to your question. You really don't have to keep everyone on the same page at the same time... let them read at their own pace.... and use a reading road map... or voluntary discussion groups/literature circles... to ensure understanding. Students that read at a slower pace I have often asked them to take the book home as homework so that they didn't feel too behind...
...unless you mean something different by "keeping everyone on the same page." -----Original Message----- From: Mosaic [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Monday, October 14, 2013 7:21 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MOSAIC] Daily 5 and/or stations I am new to Daily 5 and am trying to figure out how to teach a whole class novel, Maniac Magee, in this format. Is it possible? I teach 6th grade in 80 minute blocks. How would I keep everyone on the same page with comprehension of the book while doing the components of Daily 5 or stations? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
