I tried to send the message below to the list last weekend. Jennifer tells me that there were technical difficulties that have been resolved now. So ... my question is below.

I went to a training today (on a Sunday!) for CCSS, and I heard from
some teachers whose schools piloted the SBAC test this year. I just
want to double check that what they said is true.
A test in one subject takes four days. There are three tests, so that
means 12 days given over for testing. If you give sample tests in the
fall and again in the winter, that means 36 days for testing Is it
true that each test takes four days?

Another person said that on the reading and writing tests there are
questions that do not allow students to go back to look at the reading,
so students have to take notes. Is that true? Can students take paper
and pencil notes, or do they have to take the notes on a computer?

I teach 8th grade, so I'm interested in the tests for middle school students. Thanks!
Jan
