This may be a question for the SRILM mailing list, but I can think of a couple of things to check. First, are there any other directories other than i686-gcc4 in ../../tools/srilm/bin, in which ngram-count may reside? Perhaps your machine type is getting set incorrectly at some point. Second, did you get any errors while installing SRILM, that you know of?
