Well I'd avoid foscam (very old technology and usually expensive) and amcrest
(dodgy software, horrendously bad support and it would seem they tend to 'give'
cameras away to get some good reviews everytime their amazon rating looks too
low). Sadly you generally can't trust amazon reviews these days (apart from
obviously detailed factual ones).
In theory anything that has an rtsp stream should work (claiming support for
ONVIF is usually something to look for).
reolink appear to be okay, though I'm currently having an issue with my reolink
camera (awaiting a replacement), but may be considered mid-range rather than
lower end.
For cheaper than the reolink you're generally into Chinese clones territory.
I've got a few that seem to work acceptably, but I'm not sure any of the ones I
have are available in the USA. (I'm in the UK.)
