Dear Robert,
Here is a way to check this; replace the right strings/versionnumbers for
later versions if you want to check for yourself.
(There are probably *far* more elegant ways, like a checkout of the
repository)
wget
https://github.com/ccrisan/motioneyeos/releases/download/nightly-dev/motioneyeos-pine64-dev20191221.img.xz
xz -d motioneyeos-pine64-dev20191221.img.xz
dd if=motioneyeos-pine64-dev20191221.img of=/tmp/testimg skip=40960
mkdir /mnt/tempmountpoint/
sudo mount -o loop /tmp/testimg /mnt/tempmountpoint/
strings /mnt/tempmountpoint/kernel.img | grep -i "Linux version"
Linux version 3.10.105
==> Thus this image ships with the linux kernel version 3.10.105
Cleanup:
sudo umount /mnt/tempmountpoint/
rm motioneyeos-pine64-dev20191221.img
rmdir /mnt/tempmountpoint/

Thanks Joris.
Very handy to have a method for such an interrogation.
I wanted to check if a 4.0 or later kernel was in the mix as I need a
module for a usb device
ID 0bda:2838 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL2838 DVB-T
I think later kernels include it so I may still have to compile this
module if I want to use it.
Thanks again.

Hi,
I use automatic tuning of the noise level
# Activates the automatic tuning of noise level
noise_tune on
which works well for my Hikvision DS-2CD2042WD-I during daytime, but poor
during night time. Can I increase the noise level on noise_tune on or set a
second manual level for night time?
During night time the camera image becomes black and white, but I think I
would also be feasible to detect the change by other means (e.g. sun raise/sun
set times).
Thanks
Rainer

Hi, make sh script and put it in cron. Call webcontrol's config/set to
adjust noise level.
