Hello Richard,

I recently started using 'motion' and it's impressive software. I was
running it on Debian 10, but last week setup a fresh PC with
bullseye/sid, and I've run into some difficulties which might be
connected. Maybe we can help each other since the issue could be with
the 4.3.2-1 package version.

My preferred config (or even just the simplest one) fails to run as a
service under systemd, but when trying with the setup flag, it works
just fine... Viewing 'journalctl -u motion' doesn't reveal much other
than immediately going from 'deactivating' to either 'inactive' or
'failed'. Checking the motion.log (set to 9) doesn't doesn't explain
why the process starts to shut down:

[1:ml1:garage2] [NTC] [ALL] [Jan 09 19:30:08] motion_loop: Thread exiting

Would you please check:
1 - if you're able to capture using the setup flag
2 - view my log to see if yours is similar: http://tkwx.us/motion.log

Alex
