Hey Birders!

Yesterday afternoon Ben Inniger and I went searching for Snowy Owls in Blue
Earth County to no avail. But about 15 minutes into our excursion we
encountered an adult Golden Eagle. The bird was in the vicinity of Mills Lake
on the east side of Hwy 169 (GPS: 44° 4.391'N, 94° 8.523'W--according to
GoogleEarth). This was around 2:00pm and when we came back through there at
4:00pm we could not relocate the bird. The habitat seems decent so it may
stick around for the season.

Other birds of interest:
Rough-legged Hawk--mostly light-phase birds
Snow Buntings
Lapland Longspurs
Horned Larks,
American Tree Sparrows

Happy Birding!
