Two Blue Grosbeaks were in Blue Mounds State Park. One, a female, near the closed Interpretive Center. A second singing male just east of the walk in campsite area on the hillside. A Yellow Billed Cuckoo was on the hillside north of the lake.
The Luverne Golden'Plump sewage ponds still have more shorebirds than they should have for June 15th. Of interest were 14 White-rumped Sandpipers, 1 Baird's Sandpiper, 6 Semipalmated Sandpipers, and a single Wilsons Phalarope. There is a Clark's Grebe on Timm Lake in southern Yellow Medicine County, on the Redwood County line. Dennis and Barbara Martin [email protected]
