Hey, gang:
The two trumpeter swans that have been visiting Lake Como in Como Park in
St. Paul's northwest corner, were visible again today. They were sitting on
the now-iced over lake and I had some qualms about their continued presence.
'Are they ok? Is it time to call the DNR'? I wondered. Then suddenly they
both stood, honked quietly and took to the air. Both swans flew gracefully
around the outer edge of the lake, then settled back down, as if to say, "No
one has to be calling any authorities, we're just fine!"
