Sorry for late past. Keith Olstad and I birded north of the town of Aitkin
yesterday and rolled perfect sevens (well almost): 7 bald eagles (all adult)
7 rough-legged hawks (l dark morph), 7 northern shrikes (all skittish), 7
northern hawks owls, and 1 great gray owl (very cooperative). Most of the
owls were along highway 18 east of 169, or along 1 north of the town of
Aitkin. One late common grackle in Palisade. Thanks to Warren Nelson for
keeping us all posted on Aitkin.
