A boreal owl was spotted by a visitor on 2/8/05 on the Wildlife Drive, near the Rice River bridge. A northern hawk-owl and several great gray owls are observed most days along the Wildlife Drive. The refuge visitor center and start of the Wildlife Drive is 5 miles south of McGregor on State Hwy 65.
