Study in contrasts at Sherburne Refuge this noon: Great Blue Heron (open water in marsh at CR 1 & 87 intersection) and two Common Ravens (CR 5, just before road to Ann Lake).
See Ravens on a relatively consistent basis around the refuge throughout much of the year - 1-2 normally, high of 7 on one occasion - wonder if they've established a population in the area (nesting has been reported). The Townsend's Solitaires have not been seen at Ann Lake since January 27th. Last year did not see them between late January and early March. Good birding to all & sundry.
