Central MN this week (primarily Sherburne NWR & southern Mille Lacs County):
waterfowl moving in (although most ponds still frozen overnight), Red-winged
Blackbird males (no females to date) & Killdeer well established, Sandhill
Cranes are paired up & working fields, Trumpeters in Mille Lacs County (they
overwinter in/near Sherburne), Great Blue Herons are seen occasionally,
first Ring-billed Gulls today; Bluebirds & Meadowlarks less common than
expected. 15 "year birds" for week, although that was heavily influenced by
trip to L. Byllesby.

Good birding to all!
