The Ospreys have begun returning to their nests these past few days. They are back at the freeway lights ( 169 / 62) already. Please report any new nests in the 8 county metro area to the Twin Cities Osprey Project at [email protected] , or to me personally at [email protected] . We do try to monitor every nest and band every chick each year. In 2006 there were 52 active nests in the metro area. Feel free to contact me for any additional info or to share your osprey observations.
