Hello,
I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my report of the "Common
Nighthawk" in Cohasset,
MN. The concensus was that I actually heard an American Woodcock. After going
to the USGS
Patuxent site and playing the songs and calls for these species it's clear that
I really heard an
American Woodcock. The calls are similar and I'd never put them side-by-side
for comparison
before. Thanks again. :)
