Joshua found and photographed a wonderfully tame male Three-toed woodpecker working over some dying spruce trees close to our house this afternoon. We also still have at least 3 boreal chickadees visiting the feeders (including one that landed on a spatula I was using to smear peanut butter on a feeder today; Joshua has also had one take seeds from his hand, although they prefer suet and peanut butter).
